# VenueMT

> VenueMT is an online booking platform for event venues in Montana, USA: barns, halls, lodges, galleries, and community spaces. Guests find a venue, request a date, and pay online once the venue approves. Listing a venue is free for owners.

## How booking works (for guests)

1. Open a venue page and pick an open date. Dates that are booked or blocked can't be selected.
2. Send a request with your name, email, and guest count. Nothing is charged when you send it.
3. The venue approves or declines by email. If approved, the date is held for 48 hours.
4. Pay online through Stripe to book the date. Each venue shows how much is paid online (the full price or a deposit) and any balance paid to the venue directly.

Guests don't need an account. Each request has a private status page linked from the confirmation email.

## For venue owners

- Free to list. No monthly or setup fees. VenueMT keeps a 3% platform fee only when a guest pays.
- One price per day, plus an optional amount paid online (a deposit). Leave the deposit empty to collect the full price online.
- Approve or decline requests from a dashboard, block dates, and share a booking link.
- Payouts go to the owner's bank account through Stripe Connect.
